Eli Collection
I have been toying with the idea of capturing a stone or object within a glass bubble for a while. However, it wasn't until my sister Randi became pregnant with my nephew that I was fully inspired to create this collection. The symbolism of a precious gem or metal in a protective casing of glass is fairly obvious. I create each piece by hand by blowing a bubble into clear glass, dropping in a stone or metal, then melting the glass closed. The pieces of the Eli collection make perfect gifts for both mothers and expectant mothers.
